It depends on how much roof drains to each run. Many Calgary homes do fine with standard 5-inch troughs, but a large or steep roof section may need 6-inch to keep up with heavy rain. We will size it to your roof.
Good gutter guards meaningfully reduce how often you need to clean the eaves and help prevent clogs, especially under trees. They are not fully maintenance-free, but they help. We can include them if it makes sense for your home.
Often, yes. Sagging, leaking, or poorly pitched troughs can frequently be repaired or re-pitched rather than fully replaced. We will tell you honestly which makes more sense.
If the timing works, it is efficient to do them together since the crew is already at the roof edge. That said, eavestrough can absolutely be done on its own whenever you need it.
